THE THIRTEEN CLOWNS
AN EVENING OF CLOWN BAGATELLES
Print Promotion and Marketing

I designed three posters for the event which I was directed to use typography only for these designs.
They wanted a typography approach to invite the audience to read more about the play rather than just looking at an image without delving deeper. The description, as well as the details of the performance dates and times, were equally important to the producers of the event.
Creating visual excitement with text can be tricky, but utilizing simple, bold typography, color, and placement that draws and leads the reader's eye to the descriptive text content was my challenge.
My use of large drop cap lettering to bring attention to the body of text and white and light blue enhance were some techniques I employed to represent clarity and calm. I played with font size and vibrant colors to draw attention as well. The use of complementary font styles also encouraged readability.
